The Pit Crew is looking for
some volunteers to help out the band.
The Pit Crew is the group of parents that assists the band
by loading the bus and moving the stationary instruments into
position on the field for performances. When you volunteer with
the Pit Crew, you get to feel like you are part of the band.
Not only do you get to know the students that are playing in the
Pit, you get to watch the band up close and personal from the
sidelines. You do not need to be at every game and competition
to volunteer. However, we do ask that when you are part of the
Pit, you need to dress like the Pit Crew at all competitions.
Our uniform is an official "Pit Crew" shirt (short sleeve, long
sleeve or fleece) that you can purchase from Initial Encounter
in Pequannock with tan khaki pants. Attached is an order form
for you to fill out and take to Initial Encounters.
Tom Rogan has volunteered to be our "Pit Boss" this year. He
will coordinate the parent volunteers to make sure that we have
enough parents at each event. Generally, the Pit Crew parents
will be assigned to move the same instrument for each
performance so that they know exactly where to place the
instrument. It is not a difficult job to do and it very
rewarding.

For every search that is done through
GOODSEARCH,
the PTHS Band Parents Association receives a penny. While that may
not sound like a lot it, it adds up quick. We have about 85
families in the band. If each member of your family did just 1
search a day for a year, we would raise over $1250 for the band.
When you enter the site: Select under "Who do you search for" type
in Pequannock High School Band Parents. Once you enter it, if your
computer accepts cookies, it will be there every time you go to the
Good Search page. |
