The Pequannock Township Marching Band takes Second Place out of 26 competing bands at the 2016 USBands National Fall Championships (Group IIIA) in Allentown, PA and wins caption awards for Best Visual and Best Percussion with a total score of 95.963.
The PTHS Marching Band took home First Place and won all caption awards at the Basking Ridge High School Competition, one week after placing 6th out of 22 bands in Group IIIA at the USBands NJ States Finals in Glassboro, NJ. The recent win puts them in a competitive position for Nationals which takes place on November 5th in Allentown, PA.
Pequannock takes First Place at the Montville Band Competition with a score of 83.700, winning captions for Best Music and Best Visual.
It’s Marching Band Season!
From sweltering summer rehearsals in July through Band Camp in the hazy days of August, the Golden Panthers Marching Band has been gearing up for the Fall 2016 season. Featuring their 2016 show, “Rise from Darkness,” the band will be performing at the first home football game on Friday, September 23rd at PTHS and heading to their first competition on Saturday, September 24th, at Vernon Township High School.
Mark your calendar not to miss the Pequannock Competition on Saturday, October 8, at 4 pm.
